Long ago, when the world was very much like it is now, a mare gave birth to a colt. His pelt was the color of coal, his eyes crystal, as if a portal to another world.
Thunder and Lightning came together to celebrate his birth, being joyous in their festivities.
His name was Tormenta.
He seemed normal, but his birth was almost like an omen…this is when things had started to change for everyone..
Turns out that he was a Fate, a Pegasus cast out from the gods, his punishment was unjust, for he was accused of something he didn’t really do.
There were two involved in his imprisonment, and they were Torment and Razz, two power hungry Pegasus’ who conspired against him.
They couldn’t help it, he was new and fresh, something everyone would come to enjoy…they had to bring him down before he could fly. So that is what they did…
As he grew in his mother’s herd, he learned the ways of the Horse and tried to figure out a way to make it back up into the Haven he was kicked out of. He wanted revenge, so when he turned three, he was free to go as he pleased.
He searched all over the plains of his homelands and found nothing, so he drove his search deeper into the land, and came across four shrines who had seemed to be in the world for centuries. There, he is said to have found the world’s darkest secrets and the teachings of magic.
On the last shrine he found what seemed to look like a meteor’s particle…a hard rock. But after he touched it, he realized that it was a fireball, since flames surrounded the rocks’ edges.
Since he had caught it the only way he could, with his mouth, it burned his tongue and he threw it to the skies in a rear.
Then, the oddest thing happened… a shaped formed from the rock, and the world’s first Aeon was released into the land.
It was said that right then and there it spoke to him, giving him prophecy:
When the land goes white and cold
Is when the world grows old.
When it is the time of the white buffalo,
Is the moment of the world’s renewal,
In the time when three moons touch the skies,
A fellow shall wage war.
Be ready.
