xXxBoy this post sucked.xXx
He saw her panic worsen and worsen by the passing minute, he did not flinch at the wolf’s gaze nor the bears for apparently he saw something that Fadala did not. He wished to calm Falada down, or that she would shut up…the sound she was making did not help in this situation. His ears went back, flat on his cran, his nostrils flared, stomping at the ground before him, showing threat to the wolf.
Then under his breath, he whispered most cautiously to Falada. Can’t you see that only the wolf tends to see us? Not the bear. He wasted no time though, he was smooth and walked with soft hushed steps. Quiet now. Clearly he did not wait to hear the answer, but wanted to Falada to see for herself.
The bear grunted and sniffed the ground, lifting his upper lip, exposing his sharp daggers to the world. Teeth that could effortlessly tear at the skin… The big grizzly turned to the wolf, grunting all the way.. Where are they? I know you can see the, tell me where my meat has gone! The wolf snarled in answer, the teeth snapping at the skies, growl growing from deep within his throat, sharp gray eyes piercing the night. His shaggy fur way tossed over one eye, tail lifted up in aggravation. I just told you, but if you keep pressing me, you’re precious food just might escape. I will call the pack.
Aeonflux wasted no time, grateful that Falada could see him, but hoping that she would follow. This all was based on trust, he had her life in his hooves…would she accept that fact and willingly give it to him?
This was practically a life and death matter, at least for her. He would do his best to fight, maybe…if things turned to worst, he could cause a distraction. He closed his orbits and galloped as fast as his legs would allow. With haste Falada, with haste.

Out of the corner of her eye, she studied Aeonflux and his expression, watching his nostrils spread and ears pin against his head. It looked as though something was coming to him, though it wasn't fear, rather annoyance or something along those lines. She frowned, at him, listening to his wary words. She looked to the pair of hunters, seeing that indeed, the bear's gaze was slanted another way while the wolf's eyes lay intent on them. Pink lips spread to reply, but she was cut of by the stallion's quickly spoken words. She followed him as well, steps silent and limbs quick. Ears perked nervously, listening to the exchange of words between bear and wolf. They were soon followed by Aeonflux's very quiet order.
She blinked a few times, watching as he gained a few steps. It was a second before realization dawned on her and she bolted after him, long and constant fear of everything teaching her just how to flee, with silent and fluid movements. She was soon running at his side, long legs being used to their advantage. Eyes snaked back to what they left behind, though her movements never stopped.
This was what she was used to, running to be free from danger, running to be rid of fear. Just running. However, she was just used to being a stray ray of moonlight dashing across the fields, never having a shadowy figure galloping at her side. Eyes looked ahead once more, tail raised as she ran and mane slapping against her shoulder blades. She felt as though she never wanted to stop.

Aeonflux closed his orbits, it seemed like a long way to the entryway of Lakeside...they were in the middle of the plains, heading to the canyons that also made this place beautiful and dangerous, there were so many nooks and crannies, so many twist and turns, so many dips and cliffs; it seemed impossible to get through unharmed.
And beside all those facts there lay other matters, it was rummored that a dragon made his nest there, looking upon any creature thattrespassed his domain as nothing else but food, unless it was another dragon of course. When he had first come to Temporal Shrines, he had thought it only contained creatures with magic, or other mythical creatures, it seemed to him that life in this doamin was probably going to be easier, but...that seemed like a laughing matter now.
Every animal he had encountered looked uponhim with fear, he believed it was because of all the rumours that had surrounded him, but that seemed unlikely, he had done nothing wrong, and most no one knew him around here. but this land or world wouldn't claim him, he wouldn't fall victim to all the trageties that surrounded this place...no, he would survive.
And if Falada chose to be with him, well he would lead her to survival...not cearainly death. He also wished for a female companio on this hard journey, it seemed impossible to survive without one. He chuckled, how silly that was too, a stallion's only weakness;mares. He respected all of them, it didn't matter their roots, it was why he was such a ladie's man. He shook his head, clearing his thoughts, and trying to get rid of the ones that buzzed around him like an annoying bee. He flicked his tail over to his flanks, making them sting a little, making Aeonflux, wilder.
He snorted and bucked running faster and faster; wilder and wilder...he could feel the wind slap at his face, his mane rippling in the wind, his hooves thunder over the hard turf that surrounded both he and the feeme fatal. He lowered his dial, forcing his way through the wind, the wind fiercely trying to pull him back, and make him run slower. But nothing could tame this fellow, especially now that he felt so unbeatable.
He grinned in spite of himself, but swiftly fixed his composure as Falada gave him an odd look, which only made him laugh. Come Falada! Fly with me!
Before he knew it, his hooves craked the rocky florr of the canyon, him finally slowing to a trot, tail swishing madly at his flanks as if a thousand flies surrounded him. His breathing was hard, nares flaring, but he was exhilarated, and full of energy to burn. The only reason he really slowed to a trot was that, besides the dangerous labyrinth before him, Falada looked tired.
He smiled at her, but that quickly dissapeared as he heard a wofl's cry not too far off, but far enough to give them a head start.
His eyes turned back to the canyons, admiration in his face. He held his breath as the rocky precipice loomed over the both equines. His ears twiched, and he gave a breathy C'mon, let's go.

Fadala hadn't a clue. She was running along with this shadow creature of a horse, the growls and snarls of enemies in her ears and nothing but the want of freedom running through her veins. There were no plans, no other wants. She had not a vague idea of what was to happen to her in this odd new land, nothing running through her mind of the decisions that would soon be proposed to her after meeting this other animal. The best thing to her was that she didn't care, she didn't notice. She knew nothing but the stings of her damp mane against her neck and shoulders, soothed by the cold night wind. Her harsh breathing was noticable and pink muzzle red. Light brown eyes were wide and free of all emotions, forelock tossed back along with her long, stained tail. She glanced at Aeonflux, he too seeming to feel nothing but the want of total freedom and he was slowly gaining the natural wildness that most horses hadn't felt in years.
She didn't know if she ever felt it, never bold or outgoing enough to explore the fact that she was a horse, and had every right to act as wild and free as any other horse. Fadala remembers only feeling trapped, never able to escape her small cage of peace mixed with a large amount of fear. She watched as he gained many steps on her, his hooves roaring against the ground as hers was just like the soft pitterpatter of rain. Ears perked forward at his words, energy starting to return to her limbs. Pale white body rushed forward, catching up with him in a few moments, only to be forced back to a trot as he slowed. Nostrils were red, her pink skin beneath her white fur turning the same shade. Light eyes looked through the maze of rocks ahead of them, unable to hear the howl of the wolf over her exhales. She looked to Aeonflux worriedly only to have him urge them both on with a whispery order.
Small hooves clicked against the rocks as she moved forward, looking to her companion with a certain expectation and fascination on her face.

xXx I'm not too fond of this post. xXx Heading deep into the labyrinth, he dared ask the feeme a question. Looking for conversation, having been deprived of that in the begining of things. His eyes were wide as he looked into her deep-set eyes that seemed full of curiosity and wonder, such as his had been when he had first entered. Their hooves, as they hit the hard turmoil below them, made music so as to keep the deadly silence and feeling of dread away. He was glad he was not alone in his adventure, and thank the gods for blessing him with such lovely company. He knew that he was attracted to this lovely fea. What were you doing, all alone, by that lake? His eyebrows were raised in clear interest, even with the mounting thoughts that never seemed to leave him at peace. His tail flicked to the side as the height of the canyon shed out the moon's light. Here they were, alone in the darkness, running from a wolf and his pack. Suddenly he got a little depresive, maybe she did not see him in the way he saw her. She did say she was at unnease with his presence, even before he spoke to her. She was frightened, he knew, but that did not make him think less of himself. Maybe she thought he hexed the night, by making a bear and a wolf appear, just so he could be with her, so she would trust him the way she is now. He sighed, no...he knew she did not see him that way, and probably never will. It's probably for the better

||Puhlease. All of your posts are fabulous ||
They were only steps into this tangle of rocks, Fadala lifting her feet high to avoid injury from the jutted rocks and depressions in the ground. Her thoughts had fallen silent, ear listening to the beat of their hooves against the ground and eyes just staring ahead of her. The shadows of the looming rocks made clawed fingers on her white body, the shadows grabbing onto her hocks only to have their grip slide on her as she moved forward. The night was becoming old, the moon no longer above but rather to their sides. She realized for a moment that the fear that she was forever plagued with was slowly, but surely, ceasing. Perhaps it was because of the answer she had told him when he asked her if she trusted him. Maybe that answer was more on heart than head which she thought it was. But there was a tiny little voice, softly whispering to her that it was the effect of the chemistry between them. Aeonflux was good of heart and refused to follow the tempetation {if there was any} to use her fear and vunerbility to his advantage. The voice was tiny though, and her companion's sudden question popped her little thoughts.
"I-I-I was avoiding you to st-start with," she stammered, not wanting him to take offence, "I was just trying to get a drink and I didn't know what to expect of you so I just tried to stay away from you and then we got into this mess and-" The click of her teeth was audible in the night as she shut her mouth, realizing that she was rambling and most likely speaking too fast for him to pay attention too. She sighed softly and let her ears pinned back abit and her head droop a tad in enbarresment. She felt the wind play with her mane, but was not in the mood to imagine this as a romantic scene. Rather, her soft brown eyes look to the ground beneath her, pink muzzle still and not looking as though they were going to speak again.

xXx Awww, thnx. xXx He blinked trying to dilude his thoughts, maybe the wolf was getting tired of the hunt? Surely they weren't too hungry to be fllowing all night long...? He saw as dawn came about, the suns light tendrils touching upon the sky in an array of colors. His very existence seemeing very meek indeed compared to all the things that lay out there...more worthy things. Really...how could they survive without the sun's warm rays? He felt reasured with the sight of it's coming out to greet them, but soon found that reasurence block off as agiant pilar took to the skies and made a small eclipse upon them. There were many jagged rocks like this one, and he saw that they seemed to be entering a small narrow cave. Just enough for two equines to pass through. He grimanced and his ears perked, listening as the mare began to speak. He noticed her stuttering and her unnease, was he not looking calm himself. He needed to reasure her, especially going into such a dark and dank place such as the entrance before them. Who knows what was in there...? He sighed as she cut herself of, and turned to look at her, stopping in his tracks. Dove...there is nothing to fear at all. Please, trust me, I will not harm you, and I willl make sure no harm befalls you whenever I am near. His dial came closer, until their nares were just inches away. Feeling the warmth of breath on breath against sensitive skin. Trust me...for what is a herd without trust?

The sun's warmth on her back reminded her vaguely of hers' and Aeonflux's brief touch, almost an hour or so ago. She felt the tickle on her muzzle as though he was doing it just then, a faint smile forming on her pale muzzle. Her mind rushed through the memories of their meeting, from her terrified expression in the lake, to the hushed whispers of their discussions and then the thundering beats of their hooves against the ground. Fadala suddenly lifted her eyes, looking to Aeonflux's but not quite seeing him but rather her happy expression reflected in his eyes. She blinked, and all there was now was a sighing stallion beside her.
Another blink passed, but now she almost looked hurt as though she thought his sigh to be an exasperated one. Soft brown eyes were hidden again as she turned to look ahead of them, almost stopping dead in her tracks at the sight of the gaping mouth of the oncoming cave.
'What was in there? What lurked in the shadows? What can hurt me?'
Thoughts already whirled, and she sheepishly guessed that the fear already came to her face since Aeonflux's next words were of reassurance. Only a flash of surprisment passed her face when he neared their muzzles together before it turned into a sad looking smile. "I know you won't harm me," she admitted, sounding almost ashamed of her past actions but his warm breath on her lips kept her speaking, "But, no offence meant Aeonflux, I have been made many promises in the past. It is...complicated to explain but many of those times, their words snapped like fragile twigs..." Fadala trailed off, a soft breath of air escaping her as though she was relieved to get that out.
They were only steps from the opening of the cave, Fadala looking him in the eye and informing him in a solomn tone, "I trust you Aeonflux. I do."

xXxMy poetry sucks. lol xXx
Why not dance away with me.. Into this shuddering darkness? For when your eyes meet mine I escape all emptiness...
He smiled, relieved that the mare understood what he asked of her. His smile never left him either, his gaze was deep into her eyes, his ears ringing, repeating over and over what her small words had mentioned. "..their words snapped like fragile twigs." Did she utterly mean that he would do such a thing as well, did she not trust him entirely? Well, he guessed that it was too much to expect anyways. It was just attraction that drew him to her, and she clearly wasn't attracted to him. So...he let bygones be bygones, though it hurt him deep inside.
She trusts me as a friend, but I guess I will never carry her that extra step. Thinking of first steps, he withdrew his breath from her's, making the reasuring warmth go away, only to be replaced witht he cool dampness that escaped the cave's mouth. Come. HE said, voice full of loss.
His mane twirled as all winds ceased and coolness rushed to meet his pelt. He felt an icthy and ticklish sensation as it did so, and his pelt responded in small movements. His tail swished once or twice, as each step that carried him further seemed to make him be eaten away by the looming darkness.
HE heard a shuffling of wings above his ear and assumed that the bats had come fresh from their hunt, one ear was lai back though, ready to listen to the fleetish words of Fadala...
Dance and Dance we will, Until we roll down Sheperds Hill and become enlightened in you're brightness.

She felt almost overwhelmed that he was smiling too, genuine kindness in the depths of his eyes while her own showed nothing but an attempt to be happy, but still most of her brown eyes showed fear. Fadala was tempted to widen her own smile into something more suitable to this situation, but Aeonflux's depressing voice rang in both her ears and the cave before them. She blinked a few times, hurt coming to her face again. What had she done? What made him this way? It confused her, and that was the least of it. Perhaps if she had been a flirty little vixen she might've seen the obvious and expressed the feelings within herself back, but she was raised a fearful whelp with a fear of even happiness, let alone love.
White body trotted after him, jumping a few times as she sensed small flying figures rushing past her. She squealed outloud as one rushed right between her ears, hooves hard against the ground as she rushed to Aeonflux and his reassuring presence. Deep, shuddering breaths were wracked from her lungs, head raised high enough that her muzzle could hang over his shoulders. Silence soon enveloped them, the questions of his change in mood still in her head. Breaths returned to normal, the warm gusts of air unknowingly pushing against his hairs. She removed her head from that position, taking a few quick steps so her light brown eyes could look him in the eye. "Were...were you truthful earlier when you were saying that this wasn't your land? Are we going to your territory?" she asked, unsure if she was about to stamp on a senstive topic or not. Her head was lowered slightly, a submissive position in the head of any horse. She still felt awful and confused about the desparing way he had last spoke.

xXx Meep really doubts that. *smacks self* xXx He heard her squeak, which made his cran turn back to look at her in pure alarm, but as her soothing voice rang in the cave, he found himself calming as well. She seemed unsure as ever, struggling for a line of topic perhaps? He couldn't help that he was a quiet fellow, used to being alone much of the time. Poor little Fadala having to be stuck with an unworthy stallion such as him! He kept his voice low for some reason, letting his head rest in a more comfortable postion, hooves clicking on the smarting ground. Why would I lie to you, dove? Of course it is not my land.HE didn't want to feel that he was on egde, nor defensable, so he lowered his voice even more. Even as these powerful words came out in a remarkably soothing tone. I have no home.He felt a rush a wind haul his mane an tail, making them ripple as if they'd be torn off if it blew any harder. Aeonflux chuckled at that notion, horses were tougher than it looked. He nodded to himself in consent with that and swiftly changed the subject, unsure if it alarmed Fadala or not. Looks like there is some light up ahead.

She felt the wind on her face, instinct making her head rise a bit more until it was close to making contact with the roof of the cave and her pink nostrils widening. The damp scent of caves came to her first, depressing and just plain cold. But as her slender white body moved further she could pick up the scents of flowers, grass, water! Lovely, lovely morning scents. Glorious. Nothing better. His words slipped into her peaceful and innocent thoughts, her head turning towards him. "Much light," she agreed, silently adding the words, 'I don't think it will help up make this situation any clearer though'. However, his quiet words that were said in the depths of the cave still rung in her mind, a speck of imperfection of the flawless untouched world in her mind.
"I...never tried to accuse you of lying. I apologize if it came out that way," she said meekly, feeling the warm rays of sun on her hocks. She blinked a few times at the rays entering the cave.
"I have no home either," she admitted quickly, snapping her head to face him, "We are alike in more ways than w-I though." She quickly changed the 'we' she was going to say to an 'I'. It was not her place to assume things about him.

XxXTi's OkxXx
One ear lowered slightly as it tilted back to the mare's meek reply, she had noticed he had been a little curt, and he scolded himself for being so rude. She had merely asked a question after all, nothing more. She was hinting at his disgrace either, but told him instead that had no home either. Aye, it did seem most alike.
His hooves put a stop to their continous motion so he could see the cave's opening before he went through, his pelt was full of dust particles, despite his bathing in the lake. He was sweat lathered, but not turlly tired. It seemed that this was a good place to rest, seeing as it was morning and all.
Nonetheless he looked about with aqute interest, before he took his first few step into what was a small opening in the cave, were mildewy grass grew on the nice furtile soil. The was a small stream, probably from the water that ran from below the caves, that trickled it's way across the small clearing. Daisies bloomed, which made the place have a "homey" feel. Aye, this seem the right place, alright.
We'll stay here until we've rested well enough to continue.
He thought that sounded like an order, so he softened his words and looked up at her shamefully. That is, if you wish it. He nodded his head in consent and apology, heading for the stream to get a nice refreshing drink.

Fadala bathed in the silence's oncoming, the sun's presence in the cave giving everything a graceful and holy feeling. Her soft brown eyes lightened in colour as the sun leaked through the enterance before them, pupils able to see the dust particles floating about against the sunlight. The once clean white pelt was smeared with some mud and dirt alike, but she couldn't care less. She was never a vain horse, and she often cursed on her noticable white pelt that many others would feel the need to die for. Sweat also covered her, from their hard travels and the few terrifying moments she had witnessed. Fadala's eyes at last looked to the enterance they had passed through, quite thrilled to see the lush grass shooting up around their hocks and the thin steam that weaved it's way across this unmarked clearing. She took in the fresh scent of water and flowers, happy that this was the terrifying thing she had expected at the end of the cave.
Ears shot forward when she realized that Aeonflux was a'speaking, looking at his now ashamed look and then listening to the few soft words added. She replied with a soft, "Sounds like a lovely idea." Pink muzzle lowered to the ground to snatch up a few blades of the grass, finding it quite rich. After a few bites she to made her way to the stream's side, guzzling down the water. Her throat was sore after this trip, along with her currently hot and heaving body.
